REV. MAXWELL OBENG IMPACTING METHODIST's CHARISM
Very Rev. Maxwell Kwaku Obeng is the Director of Children’s Ministry of the Methodist church Ghana. A dedicated Minister based at New Ashongman Praise Methodist church. Born in 1980 in the Bono East Region, he overcame numerous challenges in his early life to pursue a strong academic and spiritual journey. He holds a Higher National Degree in Marketing, a First Class in Bachelor of Theology, and a Master of Theology in Christian Education. Currently, he is a final-year PhD candidate in Theology.
Maxwell’s Christian walk began at age 13, leading him to become an evangelist, Sunday School teacher, and founder of a youth prayer fellowship. His ministry focus includes youth and children’s education, pastoral work, and theological education. He serves in various church roles and as an adjunct lecturer at Trinity Theological Seminary, faculty member, Discipleship school of the Methodist church Ghana and Theological Education by Extension (TEE). A passionate advocate for faith development, Maxwell has authored several works on Christian education and youth ministry. He is married to Emelia Obeng Mframah, and together they have three daughters, with whom he continues to serve and inspire in his calling.
